Competition: MLS
Market: Both teams to score
Odds: 2/3 @ BetUS
In what could prove to be an action-packed affair from Soldier Field in the early hours of Monday, Chicago will welcome Orlando to town.
Starting with the hosts, failing to find much stability during their Leagues Cup adventure earlier in the month, Chicago will be excited by the prospect of turning their attention back to MLS duties here. Heading into the month interval in the midst of a stellar three-match winning run, the Fire had certainly skyrocketed their way up the Eastern Conference standings. Sat in pole position to claim a play-off ticket this season, interim boss Frank Klopas will be calling on his side to make a statement in the early hours of Monday. Mustering 12 points from their last five MLS appearances, the mood around Solider Field should be at a continued high. With their top-flight flurry underlined by a 3-0 romp against Montreal last month, it should also be highlighted that Chicago have won three of their last four showdowns at Solider Field. Landing a 3-1 victory when Orlando came to town back in January 2021, Klopas will be calling for a repeat performance here.
As for the visitors, although Orlando might have seen their Leagues Cup adventure come to an abrupt end at the hands of Inter Miami earlier in the month, the Lions should still find the mood in their camp at a high. Heading into the month interval with a lively 2-1 win away at Atlanta, Oscar Pareja’s men had lost just one of their final six MLS appearances. Also sat in the driving seat to claim another play-off ticket in 2023, the one-time Dallas boss has seen his squad gain a reputation for their lively outcomes. It should be noted, landing a 3-1 victory when they welcomed Chicago to Florida back on July 2nd, the Purples have taken 10 points from their last four meetings against Chicago. In what could prove to be an action-packed affair in the early hours of Monday, we are backing both teams to get on the scoresheet.
