Competition: MLS

Market: Cincinnati win

Odds: 7/10 @ Pribet

Two sides who find themselves battling it out at opposite ends of the Eastern Conference table, Cincinnati will welcome Toronto to the TQL Stadium in the early hours of Thursday.

Starting with the hosts, while Cincinnati might have been last seen suffering late heartbreak away at Vancouver on June 10th, Pat Noonan’s men are in the midst of what has been a stellar purple patch. Only continuing to gain a string of plaudits since opening the 2023 campaign, the Ohio-based outfit find themselves tipped as a landslide contender to be crowned Eastern Conference champions this season. Along with making their return to the TQL Stadium in midweek enjoying a 13-match unbeaten run across all competitions, it should also be noted that a high-flying Cincinnati have remarkably suffered just a single domestic defeat since way back on February 17th. Riding what has been a famous wave of momentum and extending on their US Open Cup adventure thanks to a 3-1 win against Pittsburgh on June 6th, Thursday’s hosts will be smelling the chance to make another statement on home soil. Likewise, winning all 13 of their matchups at the TQL Stadium since opening the 2023 campaign, Noonan’s side are rightfully seen as a standout pick here.

As for the visitors, while Toronto might have signed off May with a crucial 2-1 victory at home against DC United, Bob Bradley’s men have continued to show a string of issues since getting the 2023 campaign underway. Now having to settle for a single point in each of their last three MLS appearances, the one-time Swansea boss finds his side battling it out at the foot of the Eastern Conference table. Knowing that they face a real uphill battle in their bid to claim a play-off ticket this season, the Reds have mustered just a single win from their previous nine domestic appearances across all formats. With that extended rut stemming all the way back to April 29th, Bradley’s struggling squad have also gained a reputation for their extended issues on the road. Including a routine 2-0 defeat at the hands of Montreal last month, it is worth highlighting that Toronto have remarkably failed to claim a single win on their travels since opening the new season.

Bet: Cincinnati 7/10 to beat Toronto in Thursday’s MLS battle @ Pribet
