Competition: Primera Division

Market: Palestino draw no bet

Odds: 7/10 @ Pribet

Looking to shore up their spot in the Copa Sudamericana chase, Cobreloa will welcome Palestino to Calama in the early hours of Tuesday.

Starting with the hosts, only making their Primera Division return this season, Cobreloa have a real battle on their hands in the race to keep hold of their top-flight status. Although Dalcio Giovagnoli’s men might have snatched a 1-1 stalemate away at Huachipato last week, the Desert Foxes have failed to muster a single victory from any of their previous eight Primera Division matchups – a run that stems all the way back to April 16th. Likewise, signing off their Chilean Cup adventure with a thumping 4-0 aggregate defeat at the hands of Deportes Iquique, the Calama-based outfit find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap. Opening up Tuesday’s showdown holding just a one-point buffer from slipping into the drop zone, Cobreloa have also gained a reputation for their glaring issues on home soil. In fact, Giovagnoli’s side have collected just two points from any of their previous seven showdowns at the Estadio Zorros del Desierto.

As for the visitors, springing a famous upset on foreign soil last week as they extended on their Copa Sudamericana thanks to a 2-1 victory against Brazilian outfit Cuiaba, Palestino will be seeking a repeat performance here. Making an immediate return to winning ways last week and with the mood in Lucas Bovaglio’s camp at a real high, the Arabes should be smelling a golden opportunity on Tuesday. Losing just a pair of their previous 10 appearances across all competitions – a run that stems back to May 29th – the midweek guests have also suffered just a single defeat on their travels over the past couple of months. Looking to shore up their spot in the top-seven chase, Palestino will also be excited their most recent battles against the Primera Division relegation scrappers. Landing a thumping 5-0 romp when they last met Cobreloa back on February 24th, we are expecting a similar away win here.

Bet: Palestino draw no bet against Cobreloa 7/10 for Tuesday’s Primera Division matchup @ Pribet
