Competition: Primera Division

Market: Both teams to score – No

Odds: 4/5 @ Pribet

In a Primera Division showdown that could see chances come at a real premium late on Tuesday night, Colon will welcome Tigre to the Estadio B.G. Estanislao.

Starting with the hosts, while Colon might have opened the 2023 campaign tipped as a standout contender to claim another top-nine finish, Marcelo Saralegui’s men have endured a public Primera Division struggle this season. Shockingly at the heart of a relegation scrap this year and only just limping their way over the finish line, the Sabalero have shown a string of issues on either side of June’s international break. Last seen putting in another worrying performance as they were hit with a toothless 1-0 loss away at Argentinos Juniors, the former Colegiales boss has seen his downbeat squad remarkably muster just a single win from any of their last 10 straight appearances. With that extended crisis stemming all the way back to May 6th, Colon have certainly gained a reputation for their glaring issues in the final third. In fact, along with drawing a blank in each of their previous four outings on the spin, the midweek hosts have failed to find the net in over 400 minutes of action.

As for the visitors, although Tigre might have claimed a crucial 1-0 victory against Instituto earlier in the month, it appears that might have just been a minor boost for El Matador. Crashing out of the Copa Sudamericana last time out as they suffered a second-leg 1-0 loss at the hands of Libertad, Juan Sara’s men have now lost each of their last three straight appearances across all competitions by an aggregate score of 4-1. Likewise, losing six of their previous seven matchups across all formats – a run that stems back to June 22nd – Tigre have had little to cheer about over the past month. Already accepting that they will be forced to settle for a bottom-half finish this season, the midweek guests have shown their own extended issues in the final third. Along with drawing back-to-back blanks over the past week, it should also be noted that the Buenos Aires-based outfit have failed to find the net in four of their previous six showdowns on the road.

Bet: Both teams *not* to score at Colon vs Tigre 4/5 for Tuesday’s Primera Division battle @ Pribet
