Competition: Championship
Market: Both teams to score
Odds: 3/4 @ Pribet
In what could prove to be an action-packed Championship battle on Saturday lunchtime, runaway leaders Leicester will make the trip to Coventry.
Starting with the hosts, while Coventry might have suffered major play-off heartbreak last season, Mark Robins’ side are enjoying another Championship flurry. Continuing to skyrocket their way up the table and now with their sights firmly set on securing another top-six finish in 2024, the Sky Blues are unbeaten in all of their previous eight appearances across all competitions. Likewise, along with suffering jus a single defeat since the start of November, the former Huddersfield boss will be hugely excited by his side’s clinical performances in the final third. Extending on their FA Cup adventure last weekend as they secured a 6-2 romp against League One outfit Oxford, Coventry have bagged 16 strikes in just their last five outings. Looking to make a heavyweight play-off statement this weekend, it is worth highlighting that Robins’ men have seen three of their previous four showdowns in the Midlands finish with both teams finding the net.
As for the visitors, while Leicester might have shockingly lost their Premier League status last season, the Foxes are breezing their way to an immediate top-flight return. Already holding a commanding 10-point buffer at the top of the Championship standings, Enzo Maresca’s side have continued to break a string of records. Last seen extending on their FA Cup adventure as they secured an action-packed 3-2 victory away at Millwall, the one-time Manchester City coach has seen his squad suffer just a pair of Championship defeats since the start of September. Opening the New Year with a 4-1 romp against Huddersfield, Leicester will simply be looking to make another major statement of intent on Saturday lunchtime. However, recording just a pair of clean sheets from any of their previous seven appearances across all competitions, chances could come thick and fast here. Likewise, with six of their last seven away fixtures finishing with both teams finding the net, we are backing a similar outcome.
