Bitesize Prediction: Crystal Palace vs Everton – 22/04/23

Competition: Premier League

Market: Crystal Palace win

Odds: 12/11 @ 888sport

Looking to make it four Premier League wins on the bounce, Crystal Palace will welcome Everton to Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while many might have been left shocked to see Roy Hodgson return to Selhurst Park last month, Crystal Palace have continued on a stellar resurge. Last seen putting in another professional display as they claimed a deserved 2-0 victory away at Southampton, the Eagles should find the mood in their camp at a season-high. Skyrocketing away from any looming relegation scrap and all but confirming their Premier League status, the one-time Liverpool boss has seen his side win each of their last three top-flight appearances. With their recent purple patch highlighted by a stellar 5-1 romp away at Leeds on April 9th, Palace should be smelling the chance to make another statement on Saturday afternoon. Really finding a clinical edge in the final third since returning from March’s international break, it should be noted that Hodgson’s men have bagged nine strike on their three-match winning run.

As for the visitors, last seen putting in a nightmare display at Goodison Park last weekend as they slumped to a 3-1 defeat against Fulham, Everton find themselves at the heart of yet another relegation scrap. Opening Saturday’s showdown in south London with just their goal difference keeping them outside of the drop zone, Sean Dyche’s men are yet to claim a single Premier League win since returning from March’s international break. Likewise, picking up just one win from any of their last eight straight top-flight appearances – a run that stems back to February 18th – the Blues have also gained a reputation for their rather glaring issues away from Merseyside. Last seen on their travels getting hit with a 2-0 loss at the hands of Manchester United, the former Burnley boss has remarkably seen his struggling squad win just a single Premier League away fixture all season.
