Bitesize Prediction: Crystal Palace vs Leeds – 09/10/22

Competition: Premier League

Market: Under 3.5 goals

Odds: 2/5 @ 888sport

Two sides who will be seeking a boost this weekend, Crystal Palace will welcome Leeds to Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, left heartbroken at Selhurst Park last weekend on their return from September’s international break, Crystal Palace will be seeking an immediate response here. Eventually watching London rivals Chelsea snatch a last-gasp 2-1 win, Patrick Vieira’s men have struggled to find much stability since opening the 2022/23 campaign. Heading into the fortnight interval with a 0-0 stalemate away at Newcastle, the former Arsenal icon has seen his side fail to win any of their previous four Premier League outings. Likewise, mustering just a single victory from their first seven attempts, Palace will also be hoping to find some resolve at the back. Aside from that goalless draw away at St. James’ Park on September 3rd, Sunday’s hosts have recorded just a pair of Premier League clean sheets since the start of May.

As for the visitors, putting in a gritty display last weekend as they snatched a 0-0 stalemate at home against Aston Villa, Leeds will be looking to build off of those positives. Playing almost the whole of that second-half showdown at Elland Road with 10 men, Jesse Marsch has seen his side gain plenty of praise since opening the 2022/23 campaign. However, while the Yorkshire-based outfit might have clung to their Premier League status last season, the ex-RB Leipzig boss does find his side in the midst of a recent four-match winless run. Dropping points against the likes of Brighton, Everton and Brentford on that downbeat run, Leeds could face another rugged test this weekend. Nevertheless, it should be noted, with Sunday’s opponents seeing each of their last four meetings finish with under 3.5 goals, we’re backing a similar outcome here.

Bet: Under 3.5 goals at Crystal Palace vs Leeds 2/5 for Sunday’s Premier League matchup @ 888sport
