Getting their FA Cup adventure underway on Sunday afternoon, Crystal Palace will welcome Stockport to Selhurst Park.

Starting with the hosts, while Crystal Palace might have endured a public struggle when opening up the 2024/25 campaign, it appears that the Eagles have turned a recent corner. Last seen getting the New Year underway with a 1-1 stalemate at home against Chelsea, Oliver Glasner’s side have suffered just a single defeat from any of their previous nine consecutive Premier League appearances – a run that stems all the way back to November 9th. Springing a real upset last month as they clinched a 3-1 romp away at arch-rivals Brighton, the former Eintracht Frankfurt boss will be smelling a golden opportunity this weekend. Signing off 2024 with a 2-1 win against Southampton, Palace will be excited to get their FA Cup adventure underway on Sunday afternoon. Despite claiming just a single victory at Selhurst Park since the end of October, it is no surprise that Glasner’s camp are pencilled in as a landslide favourite in south London.

As for the visitors, although Stockport might have claimed a much-welcomed 2-1 victory against Peterborough last month, it appears that might have just been a minor boost for the Hatters. Last seen falling to a 2-1 defeat at home against Mansfield, Dave Challinor’s side have recorded just a single victory from any of their previous seven appearances across all competitions. Watching their EFL Trophy adventure come to an end on December 10th as they suffered a 3-2 loss at the hands of Bradford, the Manchester-based outfit have also gained a reputation for their issues away from Edgeley Park. Including a 2-0 loss against Birmingham at the start of December, Stockport have registered just one-point from any of their previous four League One showdowns on the road. Watching their play-off dreams take a major dent over the past month, the Blues will have a real challenge on their hands here.

Bet: Eddie Nketiah to score anytime against Stockport 7/5 for Sunday’s FA Cup tie @ 1xBet
