Competition: National League

Market: Dorking double chance

Odds: 4/5 @ 888sport

Looking to claim back-to-back National League victories on Tuesday night, Dorking will welcome a struggling Southend to Meadowbank.

Starting with the hosts, while Dorking might still be looking over their shoulder at the drop zone, Marc White’s men will be boosted by an eye-catching display from a few days ago. Eventually claiming a 3-1 victory at home against Maidenhead, the Wanderers could be smelling the chance to make another National League statement on Tuesday night. Shocking many across England’s fifth-tier on March 7th as they secured a 2-1 win against play-off contenders Barnet, the Surrey-based outfit should be excited by their continued success on home soil. In fact, along with Saturday’s 3-1 win against Maidenhead, White’s side have collected 10 points from their last four contests at Meadowbank. With that run highlighted by an action-packed 3-2 victory against fellow relegation scrappers Torquay, Dorking will be desperate to extend on their hometown flurry here.

As for the visitors, although Southend might have opened 2023 with their sights set on mounting a genuine play-off charge, the Blues have come crashing back down to earth in some style. Slumping to a late 1-0 loss away at Altrincham over the weekend, Kevin Maher’s men have now lost each of their last six straight National League showdowns – a run that stems back to February 25th. With their nightmare run of form highlighted by a 2-1 loss at home against Aldershot on March 18th, the Essex-based outfit have only continued to freefall their way down the fifth-tier standings. Now with the feel of a side seeking a much-needed boost on Tuesday night, Southend have also shown some rather glaring struggles away from Roots Hall. In fact, Maher’s side have lost four of their previous five contests on the road.

Bet: Dorking double chance against Southend 4/5 for Tuesday’s National League contest @ 888sport
