Competition: Indian Super League

Market: East Bengal win

Odds: 7/10 @ Pribet

Looking to extend on their recent ISL flurry, East Bengal will welcome Hyderabad to the Salt Lake Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while East Bengal might have got February underway with a 3-0 drumming at the hands of Chennaiyin, Oscar Bruzon’s men have come roaring back in some style. Last seen over the weekend putting in another stellar display as they stormed their way to a 3-1 victory away at Punjab, the Torch Bearers have secured consecutive Super League wins for the first time since opening the New Year. Suffering just a single defeat from any of their previous five ISL appearances, the former Mallorca coach will now be dreaming of the chance to mount a genuine play-off charge. Smelling a real opportunity in midweek, Wednesday’s hosts will be excited by a dominant recent record against Hyderabad. Including an action-packed 3-2 win when they last welcomed the Nizams to town back in January 2024 for a Super Cup showdown, they have also registered seven points from their previous three ISL meetings.

As for the visitors, eventually forced to settle for a 0-0 stalemate at home against Mumbai City last week, Hyderabad find themselves at the heart of another Super League struggle this season. Once again scrapping it out at the foot of the table, Shameel Chembakath’s side have drastically failed to find any kind of stability. Falling to a 3-1 loss against Odisha earlier in the month, the Nizams have won just a pair of their previous 14 ISL appearances. With that rut stemming all the way back to November 7th, Wednesday’s guests have also gained a reputation or their glaring issues on the road. Including a 4-1 drumming at the hands of North East United on January 29th, Hyderabad have collected just a single point from any of their last six consecutive matchups away from the GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium. Hit with back-to-back defeats away at East Bengal, we are backing a similar outcome here.

Bet: East Bengal 7/10 to beat Hyderabad in Wednesday’s ISL showdown @ Pribet
