Competition: Spanish Segunda

Market: Eibar win

Odds: 7/12 @ 888sport

Hoping to claim back-to-back Segunda victories on Wednesday night, Eibar will welcome Lugo to the Ipurua Municipal Stadium.

Starting with the hosts, managing to make a welcomed return to winning ways over the weekend with a gritty display on the road, Eibar have their sights set on clinching a La Liga return this season. Eventually claiming a 1-0 victory away at Malaga a few days ago, Los Armeros should find the mood in their camp at a high. Losing just one of their previous seven Segunda matchups, a run that stems back to September 17th, Gaizka Garitano’s side will be desperate to lay down another marker on Wednesday night. Opening the midweek fixtures leading the chase in the play-off hunt, Eibar have also continued to shine on home soil. In fact, on a run that is highlighted by a 4-0 romp against Granada prior to September’s international break, Garitano’s men are unbeaten in front of their own supporters since opening the 2022/23 campaign.

As for the visitors, while Lugo might have clung to a 0-0 stalemate at home against Mirandes over the weekend, the Albivermellos still find themselves battling it out at the foot of the Segunda table. With it looking like their 2-0 victory against Burgos on October 23rd was just a minor boost, that is the only second-tier win that Hernán Pérez’s side have collected from their previous nine attempts. Likewise, facing a real challenge on Wednesday night, it should be noted that Lugo have continued to struggle with their performances on the road. Last seen on their travels getting hit with an action-packed 3-2 loss against Malaga, the Galicia-based outfit have collected just a single point from any of their previous four Segunda contests away from the Anxo Carro.

Bet: Eibar 7/12 to beat Lugo in Wednesday’s Spanish Segunda battle @ 888sport
