Competition: Bundesliga

Market: Freiburg win

Odds: 8/15 @ 888sport

Hoping to claim back-to-back Bundesliga victories on Friday night, Freiburg will welcome a struggling Bochum to the Europa-Park Stadion.

Starting with the hosts, while Freiburg might have been left frustrated by their 3-1 loss against Borussia Dortmund on August 12th, Christian Streich’s men managed to prove that was just a minor blip. Last seen picking up a 1-0 victory away at Stuttgart, the Reds have their sights set on mounting another genuine European charge this season. Opening up the 2022/23 campaign with a thumping 4-0 romp away at Augsburg, there is no doubt that they will also be boosted by their most recent showdown against Friday’s guests. Welcoming Bochum to the Europa-Park Stadion back in April, Freiburg cruised their way to a routine 3-0 win in front of their own supporters. With Italian midfielder Vincenzo Grifo already racking up a pair of Bundesliga strikes from his opening three appearances, Streich’s side should be smelling a golden chance here.

As for the visitors, although Bochum might have cruised their way to Bundesliga safety last season, it appears that Thomas Reis’ side are destined for a relegation scrap this time around. Opening the 2022/23 campaign with a worrying display as they were hit with a sluggish 2-1 loss at home against Mainz, Die Unabsteigbaren are yet to get a single point on the board. Along with suffering an action-packed 3-2 defeat at the hands of Hoffenheim, they were also last seen putting in a nightmare display. Eventually getting blown away thanks to a woeful 7-0 drumming against defending champions Bayern Munich, Bochum could be in for another huge task here. Suffering that 3-0 loss when they last made the trip to the Europa-Park Stadion back on April 16th, we’re backing a similar home win on Friday night.

Bet: Freiburg 8/15 to beat Bochum in Friday’s Bundesliga battle @ 888sport
