Bitesize Prediction: Fulham vs Preston – 19/04/22

Competition: Championship

Market: Fulham win

Odds: 1/2 @ 888sport

Desperate to try and find some kind of boost on Tuesday night, runaway Championship leaders Fulham will welcome Preston to Craven Cottage.

Starting with the hosts, missing out on the chance to secure their Premier League return last weekend, Fulham have the feel of a side seeking some kind of boost. Eventually throwing away the lead and getting hit with a shock 2-1 defeat away at leading relegation scrappers Derby, Marco Silva’s side have suffered back-to-back Championship defeats. Slumping to a woeful 3-1 drumming against Coventry on April 10th, the former Everton boss will be calling on his side to end their brief blip. Still holding a commanding nine-point buffer at the top of the table, fans around Craven Cottage will be calling on attacking talisman Aleksandar Mitrović to spearhead their charge. Continuing to break a string of Championship records, the Serbian international has bagged a remarkable 38 second-tier strikes this season.

As for the visitors, last seen over the weekend playing out a 1-1 draw against play-off outsiders Millwall on home soil, Preston do seem to be enjoying somewhat of a boost. Collecting seven points from their last three Championship matchups, including back-to-back 2-1 and 1-0 victories against QPR and Blackpool earlier in the month, Ryan Lowe’s men are now sat within touching distance of breaking into the top-half. However, knowing that they should face a stern test when they make the trip to Craven Cottage in midweek, it should be noted that Preston have continued to struggle with their form on the road. Last seen away from Deepdale getting hit with a 1-0 loss away at Derby, Tuesday’s guests have failed to win any of their previous four Championship away fixtures.

Bet: Fulham 1/2 to beat Preston in Tuesday’s Championship battle @ 888sport
