Competition: La Liga

Market: Getafe win

Odds: 21/20 @ 888sport

Only looking to widen their buffer over the drop zone when this weekend’s La Liga fixtures get underway, Getafe will welcome a struggling Levante to the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, managing to head into the winter break with a deserved point away at European contenders Real Sociedad, the mood in Getafe’s camp should be at a real high. Despite opening the 2021/22 campaign tipped as a standout pick to lose their La Liga status this season, the Blues have suddenly skyrocketed their way out of the bottom-three. Losing just one of their last five outings, a run highlighted by a shock 1-0 win at home against Real Madrid last month, Quique Sánchez Flores’ men should be smelling another golden chance here. Likewise, it should also be noted that Getafe have only continued to shine at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez. Along with winning each of their last three home fixtures on the spin, they have not lost a single matchup in the capital since October 25th.

As for the visitors, while Getafe might mark their return to action on Friday night riding a recent wave, the same cannot be said for a struggling Levante. Last seen making an immediate return to losing ways as they suffered a 2-0 defeat against Cadiz on home soil, Head Coach Alessio Lisci finds his side freefalling towards the Segunda this year. Sat rock-bottom at the foot of the table and still chasing a huge nine-point deficit, the Frogs will know that they face a stern test here. In fact, including back-to-back 4-3 losses against Espanyol and Valencia, Levante have lost five of their last six matchups across all formats. Suffering a 2-1 defeat the last time they made the trip to the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, a similar home victory appears at attractive odds this weekend.

Bet: Getafe 21/20 to beat Levante in Friday’s La Liga showdown @ 888sport
