Competition: National League South
Market: Havant & Waterlooville win
Odds: 19/20 @ 888sport
Two sides who are desperate to secure a National League return this season, Havant & Waterlooville will welcome Dartford to Hampshire on Wednesday night.
Starting with the hosts, managing to make a much-needed return to winning ways over the weekend, Havant & Waterlooville will be looking to keep up that momentum here. Eventually managing to claim a 3-1 victory away at Slough, the Hampshire-based outfit drew a line under their three-match winless run. Opening the midweek fixtures sat second in the National League South table and just two points adrift of leapfrogging leaders Ebbsfleet, Paul Doswell’s men will also be hoping to find some stability on home soil. Last seen in front of their own supporters getting hit with a woeful 5-1 drumming at the hands of Worthing, the Hawks have recorded just a pair of wins from any of their last seven showdowns at the Draper Tools Community Stadium. However, claiming a 2-1 win when they last faced off against Dartford back on August 16th, Doswell’s side will be desperate to lay down a marker here.
As for the visitors, although Dartford might have managed to pick up a 3-1 victory at home against Concord last month, it appears that was just a minor boost for Alan Dowson’s side. Last seen over the weekend putting in a toothless display as they had to settle for a 0-0 stalemate against Bath on home soil, the Kent-based outfit have now picked up just a single win from any of their last six outings. With that worrying blip stemming all the way back to November 5th, the Whites have also shown some extended issues on the road. Last seen on their travels getting hit with a 1-0 loss at the hands of Chelmsford, Wednesday’s guests have taken just a single point from any of their previous four National League South contests away from Princes Park. Suffering that 2-1 loss when they met Havant & Waterlooville back in August, we’re expecting a similar home victory here.
