Competition: FA Cup

Market: Over 1.5 goals

Odds: 4/11 @ 888sport

Looking to extend on their FA Cup adventure on Saturday afternoon, a high-flying Burnley will make the trip to Ipswich.

Starting with the hosts, managing to make an immediate return to winning ways in midweek, Ipswich will now be hoping to find some stability. Eventually cruising their way to a 4-0 romp at home against Morecambe, that was just the third victory that Kieran McKenna’s side have collected from their previous eight matchups across all formats. However, despite suffering that downbeat 2-1 loss away at Oxford last weekend, the one-time Manchester United coach has seen his side gain a reputation for their continued success on home soil. Sat firmly in pole position to claim a play-off spot this season, the Blues are unbeaten at Portman Road since way back on November 22nd. With that run highlighted by a thumping 4-1 victory against Rotherham earlier in the month, Ipswich will be dreaming of causing an FA Cup upset here.

As for the visitors, mounting what was a stunning comeback at home against West Brom last weekend, Burnley are in the midst of what has been a remarkable purple patch. Eventually snatching a late 2-1 victory against play-off contenders West Brom, Vincent Kompany’s men are breezing their way towards an immediate Premier League return this season. Extending on their FA Cup adventure on January 7th thanks to a stellar 4-2 victory away at top-flight outfit Bournemouth, the former Manchester City skipper has seen his side gain a string of plaudits. In fact, winning 14 of their previous 16 contests across all formats, Burnley have also continued to shine with their free-scoring displays. Already mustering 55 Championship strikes this season, don’t be surprised to see what could be an enjoyable affair at Portman Road.

Bet: Over 1.5 goals at Ipswich vs Burnley 4/11 for Saturday’s FA Cup tie @ 888sport
