Bitesize Prediction: Ipswich vs Leeds – 26/08/23

Competition: Championship

Market: Ipswich draw no bet

Odds: 4/6 @ Pribet

With all eyes falling on Portman Road this weekend, a high-flying Ipswich will welcome Leeds to East Anglia on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Ipswich might have only made their Championship return this season, the Blues are in the midst of yet another remarkable purple patch. Only continuing to gain a string of plaudits from across England’s tiers, Kieran McKenna’s high-flying squad suddenly have their sights firmly set on mounting another promotion charge this time around. Last seen putting in yet another rugged display as they clinched a 1-0 victory away at QPR, the one-time Manchester United coach certainly finds the mood around Portman Road at a red-hot high. Extending on their EFL Cup adventure earlier in the month as they landed a routine 2-0 win against Bristol Rovers, Saturday’s hosts have also won each of their opening three Championship showdowns by an aggregate score of 5-1. Likewise, one of just two clubs alongside Leicester that can boast a 100% start to the 2023/24 campaign, Ipswich also open this weekend’s fixtures sat at the top of the second-tier standings.

As for the visitors, while Leeds might have mounted a late comeback last weekend as they eventually snatched a 1-1 stalemate at home against West Brom, the Whites have failed to find any kind of stability since making their Championship return. Crashing out of the Premier League last season and coming under a huge amount of scrutiny, Daniel Farke will know that he has a huge challenge on his hands at Elland Road. Remarkably failing to win any of their opening three second-tier appearances and slumping to a shock 1-0 loss away at Birmingham on August 12th, Saturday’s guests have also gained a reputation for their extended issues on the road. Suddenly tipped as an outside contender in the play-off chase this season, Leeds should also be concerned by their most recent trip to East Anglia. Slumping to an action-packed 3-2 defeat when they travelled to Portman Road for a Championship battle back in May 2019, we are expecting a home draw no bet for the shock promotion contenders.

Bet: Ipswich draw no bet against Leeds 4/6 for Saturday’s Championship battle @ Pribet
