Competition: Serie A

Market: Juventus win

Odds: 2/5 @ 1xBet

Looking to extend on their recent purple patch this weekend, Juventus will welcome Verona to Turin on Saturday night.

Starting with the hosts, marking their return from October’s international break with a famous display last weekend, Juventus will certainly be calling on a repeat performance here. Eventually clinging to a 1-0 victory away at historic rivals AC Milan, the Old Lady have enjoyed a hugely impressive start to the 2023/24 campaign. With some around Turin now starting to believe that their side could mount a genuine title charge this time around, Massimiliano Allegri’s men should be smelling a golden opportunity on Saturday night. Opening up this weekend’s fixtures sat just a couple of points adrift of top spot, Juventus have collected 20 points from their first nine Serie A appearances. Heading into the fortnight interval with a routine 2-0 win against Torino, the Italian heavyweights will also be boosted by their continued success on home soil. Including a stellar 3-1 romp against Lazio on September 16th, Allegri’s side have won their previous three showdowns in Turin by an aggregate score of 6-1.

As for the visitors, while Juventus might be enjoying a real early-season flurry, Verona are enduring what has been a real extended wobble on either side of October’s international break. Last seen marking their return from the fortnight interval with a nightmare display as they suffered a 3-1 loss at home against Napoli, the Mastiffs are starting to look over their shoulder at a potential relegation scrap. With their recent issues highlighted by a 2-1 defeat away at Frosinone earlier in the month, Marco Baroni’s side have collected just two points from any of their last seven Serie A appearances – a run that stems back to August 26th. Knowing that they face a huge challenge on Saturday night, Verona will also be concerned by a woeful record against the Turin-based giants. Hit with a 1-0 loss when they last made the trip to Juventus back on April 1st, Baroni’s men have lost each of their previous three meetings by an aggregate score of 4-0.
