Competition: Ykkonen

Market Over 1.5 goals

Odds: 2/5 @ 1xBet

Two sides who find themselves battling it out at the foot of the Ykkonen table, KPV will welcome Jaro to Kokkola on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, managing to make what was a crucial return to winning ways last week, KPV will be desperate to use that performance as a platform to build on. Eventually claiming a 3-0 romp away at JaPS, Christian Sund’s men are now hoping to secure back-to-back Ykkonen victories since way back in the middle of February. Knowing that they are in need of a minor miracle in their bid to claim a top-half finish in 2023, the Greens should also be concerned by their continued struggles on home soil. Last seen in front of their own supporters putting in a nightmare display as they were hit with a 4-0 drumming at the hands of HIFK earlier in the month, the Sund’s side have remarkably claimed just a single win from their previous nine straight matchups at the Kokkolan Keskuskentta – a run that stems all the way back to February 24th. With that rut highlighted by a 4-2 loss against Mikkeli when opening July, it should also be noted that KPV have seen five of their previous six home fixtures finish with over 2.5 goals.

As for the visitors, although Jaro might have claimed a crucial boost earlier in the month as they picked up a 3-2 victory away at KaPa, it appears that might have just been a minor boost for Stephen Ward’s struggling squad. Last seen putting in another downbeat display as they slumped to a 2-0 loss at home against Mikkeli, the Reds have recorded just a single win from any of their last seven straight Ykkonen appearances – a run that stems back to June 11th. With their extended struggle highlighted by a 4-0 drumming against TPS Turku a fortnight ago, Jaro have certainly gained a reputation for their glaring issues at the back. Along with shipping eight goals in just their last three domestic contests, Ward’s men have also failed to muster a single clean sheet on their travels since the start of February. Likewise, it should be noted, with Jaro seeing each of their last six away showdowns finish with over 1.5 goals, we are expecting a similar outcome here.

Bet: Over 1.5 goals at KPV vs Jaro 2/5 for Saturday’s @ 1xBet
