Competition: MLS
Market: LA Galaxy win
Odds: 2/3 @ BetUS
Looking to make an immediate return to winning ways in the early hours of Sunday, LA Galaxy will welcome Sporting Kansas City to the Dignity Health Sports Park.
Starting with the hosts, left disappointed last time out as they eventually slumped to a 2-1 defeat away at the Chicago Fire, LA Galaxy will be seeking an immediate response here. Still battling it out at the top of the Western Conference table and appearing to breeze their way to a play-off ticket, Greg Vanney’s men should be smelling a real opportunity this weekend. Excited to make a return to home soil, Los Galacticos have continued to gain a reputation for their extended success in California. Last seen in front of their own supporters clinched a 3-1 romp against Dallas, LA Galaxy have collected 13 points from their previous five MLS showdown at the Dignity Health Sports Park. Likewise, Sunday’s hosts have not suffered a single defeat from any of their last nine consecutive showdowns on home soil – a purple patch that stems all the way back to February 11th.
As for the visitors, managing to make what was a crucial return to winning ways last week as they snatched a 2-1 victory at home against Seattle, Sporting will be desperate to use that performance as a platform to build on. However, still battling it out at the foot of the Western Conference table and struggling to find any kind of stability since opening up the 2024 campaign, the Wizards should also be concerned by their glaring issues outside of Kansas. Last seen on their travels getting hit with a 3-1 drumming at the hands of Minnesota, Peter Vermes’ side have lost all of their previous five straight MLS showdowns away from Children’s Mercy Park. Signing off May with a 2-1 defeat against Portland, Sunday’s guests are rightfully tipped as a real underdog contender here. Suffering an action-packed 3-2 loss when they last met LA Galaxy on Match 24th, we are expecting a similar outcome.
