Competition: Serie A

Market: Ciro Immobile to score anytime

Odds: 8/11 @ 888sport

Smelling the chance to lay down a real marker on Saturday night, Lazio will welcome Sampdoria to the Stadio Olimpico for what could be an enjoyable affair.

Starting with the hosts, last seen eventually picking up an action-packed 4-3 victory away at Spezia, there is no doubt that Lazio will be desperate to build off of that free-scoring display. Still sat in pole position to book another European finish this season, Head Coach Maurizio Sarri has seen his side continue to gain a reputation for their lively outcomes. Suffering just a single defeat from their last five Serie A contests, the one-time Chelsea boss will be calling on attacking talisman Ciro Immobile to spearhead their charge on Saturday night. Once again converting from the spot on Lazio’s travels last weekend, the Italian international has now racked up six domestic strikes in just his last four outings. Likewise, it should also be highlighted that the former Borussia Dortmund striker has already notched 27 Serie A goals this season and is cruising his way to the Golden Boot.

As for the visitors, while Sampdoria might have managed to snatch a hard-fought 1-0 victory against bitter rivals Genoa last weekend, many around the Stadio Luigi Ferraris will still be firmly looking over their shoulder at the drop zone. In the midst of what has been a nightmare campaign under Head Coach Marco Giampaolo, they have managed to muster just a pair of wins since the middle of February. Continuing to struggle on their travels this season, Sampdoria should also be concerned by their most recent meetings against Saturday’s hosts. Along with a 3-1 drumming when they welcomed Lazio to Genoa back on December 5th, they have lost five of their last six meetings against Sarri’s squad.

Bet: Ciro Immobile to score anytime against Sampdoria 8/11 for Saturday’s Serie A matchup @ 888sport
