Bitesize Prediction: Leeds vs Brighton – 11/03/23

Competition: Premier League

Market: Brighton win

Odds: 1/1 @ 888sport

Looking to extend on their Premier League romp this weekend, Brighton will make the trip to a struggling Leeds on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Leeds might have opened Javi Garcia’s tenure in charge with a crucial 1-0 victory at home against Leeds on February 25th, it appears that could have just been a minor boost for the Yorkshire-based outfit. Last seen putting in a toothless display away at an inconsistent Chelsea as they suffered a 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge, the former Watford boss has seen his new squad lose four of their last five matchups across all formats. Likewise, crashing out of the FA Cup last week following a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Fulham, it should also be noted that Leeds have recorded just a single Premier League victory since way back in November. Opening up this weekend’s fixtures with just their goal difference keeping them from dropping into the relegation zone, Garcia’s men could face another tough test here.

As for the visitors, laying down yet another Premier League marker last weekend as they cruised their way to a 4-0 romp against West Ham, Brighton are enjoying what has been a record-breaking run. Only continuing to shine since welcoming Roberto Di Zerbi to the Amex, the Seagulls should be smelling the chance to make another statement in Yorkshire. With their sights set on clinching a famous European finish this season, the one-time Sassuolo boss has seen his high-flying gain a string of plaudits. Extending on their FA Cup adventure on February 28th as they claimed a routine 1-0 win away at Championship outfit Stoke, Brighton have suffered just a single defeat across any competition since opening 2023. Picking up a 1-0 victory when they welcomed Leeds to the Amex back in August, we are expecting a similar outcome at Elland Road.

Bet: Brighton 1/1 to beat Leeds in Saturday’s Premier League matchup @ 888sport
