Bitesize Prediction: Leicester vs Brighton – 23/01/22

Competition: Premier League

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 8/11 @ 888sport

In a matchup that tends to produce chances at both ends of the pitch, Leicester will welcome Brighton to the King Power on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, somehow throwing away their lead against Tottenham in midweek after a stunning collapse at the King Power, there is no doubt that Leicester will still be shellshocked. Shipping a pair of injury-time strikes in the dying seconds and eventually hit with a 3-2 defeat on home soil, the pressure could be back on Brendan Rodgers. With a schedule that has been heavily hindered by COVID-19 over the past weeks, the Foxes have managed to win just a trio of their last nine matchups across all formats, a run that stems back to the end of November. Now only just hanging onto their spot in the top-half of the Premier League table, the one-time Liverpool boss has also seen his side show some extended problems at the back this season. Likewise, it should also be noted, Sunday’s hosts have seen four of their last five appearances finish with both teams finding the net.

As for the visitors, while Brighton might not have Graham Potter in their dugout this weekend, there is no doubt that the mood in their camp should be at a real high. Last seen earlier in the week playing out a 1-1 draw against defending European champions Chelsea at the AMEX, the Seagulls have continued to impress many across the Premier League. In the midst of a five-match unbeaten run and with just a single defeat to their name since November 20th, the one-time Swansea boss will be calling on his side to lay down another marker at the King Power. Still battling it out in the top-half of the table, Brighton have also gained a reputation for their rugged approach on the road. It should be noted, with each of the last three meetings between Sunday’s opponents finishing with both teams finding the net, we’re backing a similar outcome here.

Bet: Both teams to score at Leicester vs Brighton 8/11 for Sunday’s Premier League showdown @ 888sport
