Competition: League One

Market: Goal to be scored in both halves

Odds: 2/3 @ BetUS

Hoping to find a route into the play-off places on Tuesday night, Peterborough will travel to Brisbane Road when they meet Leyton Orient.

Starting with the hosts, making an immediate return to winning ways over the weekend as they stormed their way to a sensational 4-1 romp away at Stockport, Leyton Orient will be desperate to use that performance as a platform to build on. However, watching their EFL Cup adventure come to an end last week as they eventually fell to a 3-1 loss at the hands of Premier League outfit Brentford, Richie Wellens’ men are seeking some crucial stability. Opening the midweek fixtures with just their goal difference keeping them outside of the relegation zone after collecting just six points from as many League One appearances, the Londoners will be concerned by what has become a real rut on home soil. Last seen at Brisbane Road falling to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Arsenal’s U21s while in EFL Trophy action, Leyton Orient have lost four of their previous five showdowns in front of their own supporters.

As for the visitors, although Peterborough might have suffered play-off heartbreak last season, the Posh are pencilled in as a leading top-six contender this time around. Last seen over the weekend putting in an action-packed performance at London Road as they secured a thrilling 3-2 victory, Darren Ferguson’s men have lost just one of their previous six appearances across all competitions. Getting their EFL Trophy campaign underway earlier in the month as they clinched an eye-catching 2-1 win away at Gillingham, the Blues have registered 10 points from their previous five League One showdowns. However, despite opening Wednesday’s trip across the capital sat within touching distance of breaking into the top-six, Peterborough are seeking some much-needed defensive stability. In fact, Ferguson’s side have failed to register a single clean sheet from any of their first nine appearances across all competitions so far this season.

Bet: Goal to be scored in both halves at Leyton Orient vs Peterborough 2/3 for Tuesday’s League One showdown @ BetUS
