Bitesize Prediction: Luton vs Tottenham – 07/10/23

Competition: Premier League

Market: Son Heung-min to score anytime

Odds: 23/20 @ 1xBet

Two sides who are expected to be battling it out at opposite ends of the Premier League table this season, Tottenham will travel to Kenilworth Road on Saturday lunchtime.

Starting with the hosts, while Luton might have managed to put a first Premier League victory on the board last weekend as they claimed a 2-1 win away at Everton, Rob Edwards’ side came crashing back down to earth a few days ago. Missing out on what they would have billed as a golden chance at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night as they eventually fell to a 2-1 defeat against fellow top-flight returners Burnley, the former Watford boss will be more than aware that his side faces a huge challenge here. Tipped as a standout contender to be hit with an immediate Championship return this season, Luton have continued to gain a reputation for their issues at the back. Opening up the 2023/24 campaign with a routine 4-1 drumming at the hands of Brighton back on August 12th, Saturday’s hosts are still waiting to muster a single clean sheet across any format. Crashing out of the EFL Cup last month following a 1-0 defeat at the hands of League One outfit Exeter, the Hatters also find just their goal difference keeping them out of the drop zone.

As for the visitors, claiming that hugely controversial 2-1 victory against Liverpool last weekend, Tottenham have continued to shine since they welcomed Ange Postecoglou to north London. Heading into September’s international break with an action-packed 5-2 win away at Burnley, the former Celtic boss has seen his high-flying squad muster 17 points from their opening seven Premier League appearances. Really coming flying out of the traps since opening the 2023/24 campaign and riding a real wave of momentum, Spurs have gained a string of plaudits. Continuing to shine with their recent performances in the final third and with a Champions League return at the top of their agenda, Tottenham should be smelling a golden chance on Saturday lunchtime. One of just two Premier League clubs who are yet to suffer a single top-flight defeat since opening proceedings, it should also be highlighted that Postecoglou’s side have bagged 11 strikes in their first four contests on the road.

Bet: Son Heung-min to score anytime against Luton 23/20 for Saturday’s Premier League showdown @ 1xBet
