Competition: Ligue 1

Market: Toulouse to score over 0.5 goals

Odds: 8/15 @ 888sport

Looking to spring what would be a real upset on the road this weekend, Toulouse will make the trip to Lyon on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, marking their return from September’s international break with another downbeat display, Lyon find themselves in the midst of an extended rut. Last seen eventually getting hit with a 1-0 loss away at Lens, it appears there is growing pressure on Peter Bosz’s shoulders. Likewise, heading into the fortnight break with another 1-0 defeat at the hands of defending champions PSG, Les Gones have now lost each of their last four Ligue 1 matchups on the bounce. Likewise, on a run that is underlined by a 3-1 drumming against Lorient last month, Lyon have shown some worrying issues at the back. It should be noted, facing what could be an uphill struggle to book a European return this season, Bosz’s men have recorded just a single clean sheet since opening the 2022/23 campaign.

As for the visitors, while Lyon might find themselves in the midst of an extended struggle, Toulouse should find the mood in their camp at a real high. Marking their return to action last weekend with a thumping 4-2 victory at home against Montpellier, Les Violets could be smelling the chance to spring a real upset on Friday night. Likewise, heading into the international break with a 2-1 win at home against Nimes on September 23rd, Head Coach Philippe Montanier has seen his side win three of their last four Ligue 1 matchups. Marking their top-flight return this summer, the former Standard Liege boss has seen his side impress many across France since opening the 2022/23 campaign. Now bagging six goals in their back-to-back victories, Toulouse should be looking to test a leaky Lyon defence here.

Bet: Toulouse to score over 0.5 goals against Lyon 8/15 for Friday’s Ligue 1 matchup @ 888sport
