Competition: Spanish Segunda

Market: Both teams to score – No

Odds: 8/11 @ 888sport

Two sides who are seeking a much-needed boost on Monday night, Malaga will welcome Leganes to La Rosaleda for what could be a cagey affair.

Starting with the hosts, while Malaga might have been last seen snatching a 0-0 stalemate at home against promotion contenders Levante earlier in the month, Sergio Pellicer’s men still find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap. Battling it out in the drop zone and coming under more scrutiny this season, Los Albicelestes have now claimed just a single victory from any of their last 11 straight domestic matchups across all formats. With their woeful run of form stemming all the way back to December 18th, Malaga have also gained a reputation for their extended issues in the final third. Along with suffering back-to-back 1-0 losses at the hands of Racing Santander and Granada, Pellicer’s side have drawn a blank in three of their previous four Segunda showdowns. It should also be noted, the Andalusia-based outfit have failed to find the net in three of their last four contests at La Rosaleda.

As for the visitors, while Leganes almost find themselves sat in Segunda limbo, Imanol Idiakez’s men are enduring their own nightmare run of form. Last seen putting in another toothless display as they slumped to a 1-0 loss at home against Real Oviedo, El Lega have lost each of their last three straight second-tier contests. Likewise, picking up just a single domestic victory since way back on January 6th, the one-time Zaragoza boss does find some growing pressure on his shoulders. Much like Monday’s hosts, Leganes have also shown some rather glaring attacking issues since opening 2023. In fact, along with losing each of their last three Segunda matchups by an aggregate score of 5-0, it should also be highlighted that Idiakez’s downbeat squad have failed to bag a single goal in almost 500 minutes of action. In what could be a cagey affair, we are backing chances to come at a real premium.

Bet: Both teams *not* to score at Malaga vs Leganes 8/11 for Monday’s Segunda matchup @ 888sport
