Competition: La Liga

Market: Over 1.5 goals

Odds: 1/2 @ 1xBet

Two sides who are seeking a welcomed La Liga boost on Saturday evening, Mallorca will welcome Valencia to the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.

Starting with the hosts, while Mallorca might have impressed many across La Liga last season as they claimed a top-half finish, the Pirates have struggled to find a similar level this time around. Suffering remarkable last-gasp heartbreak away at Rayo Vallecano last time out as they eventually had to settle for an action-packed 2-2 draw, Javier Aguirre’s men are desperately trying to find some much-needed stability. With their recent issues highlighted by a rollercoaster 5-3 defeat at the hands of Girona last month, the former Japan boss has seen his struggling squad win just one of their opening eight La Liga showdowns. Opening this weekend’s fixtures looking over their shoulder at the drop zone, Mallorca have continued to show some rather glaring defensive issues. Including another 2-2 draw against reigning champions Barcelona on September 26th, Saturday’s hots have shipped nine goals in their previous three top-flight contests. It is also worth noting, the Pirates have recorded just a single clean sheet from their last four La Liga appearances on home soil.

As for the visitors, while Valencia might have marked their return from September’s international break with a stunning 3-0 romp against Atletico Madrid, Los Ches have come crashing back down to earth. Last seen putting in a nightmare performance away at Real Betis as they slumped to a 3-0 defeat, Ruben Baraja’s side have claimed just a single win from their previous six La Liga appearances – a run that stems back to August 18th. Much like Saturday’s hosts, Valencia have shown their own extended struggles at the back. Including a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Osasuna when signing off August, Valencia have shipped six strikes in their previous three La Liga showdowns. It should be noted, with 17 of the last 18 meetings between Mallorca and Valencia seeing over 1.5 goals by the final whistle, we are expecting a similar outcome at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix this weekend.

Bet: Over 1.5 goals at Mallorca vs Valencia 1/2 for Saturday’s La Liga showdown @ 1xBet
