Market: Over 1.5 goals

Looking to extend on their recent purple patch in midweek, Bristol City will travel to south London when they meet Millwall.

Starting with the hosts, watching their FA Cup adventure come to an end last weekend as they fell to a 3-1 loss away at Premier League outfit Crystal Palace, Millwall will be seeking an immediate response here. Although Alex Neil’s men might have recorded just a single victory from any of their previous five appearances across all competitions, the former Norwich boss could be dreaming of the chance to mount a late play-off charge. Despite suffering a nightmare 5-1 drumming at the hands of relegation scrappers Plymouth last month, the Lions have suffered just a sole defeat from any of their previous nine showdowns against Championship opposition. However, although Millwall might have gained a reputation for their rugged performances away from The Den, they have struggled to find any real stability in front of their own supporters. Aside from a 2-1 victory against QPR on February 1st, that is the only Championship win that Neil’s side have registered in south London since opening the New Year.

As for the visitors, last seen putting in another eye-catching performance as they clinched a 2-1 victory against Middlesbrough, Bristol City are enjoying what has become a real purple patch. Mustering seven points from their previous three Championship appearances, Liam Manning’s men open the midweek fixtures sat within touching distance of finding a route into the play-off places. Signing off January with another 2-1 win against Blackburn, the Robins have suffered just a sole defeat from any of their previous nine consecutive Championship outings. However, despite securing what was a sensational 4-3 victory when they welcomed Millwall to Ashton Gate for their reverse meeting on August 17th, Bristol City have continued to show some glaring issues on their travels. In fact, Tuesday’s guests have failed to win any of their last 11 straight showdowns on the road – a run that stems all the way back to a 2-0 victory against Norwich on November 9th.

Bet: Over 1.5 goals at Millwall vs Bristol City 8/15 for Tuesday’s Championship matchup@ 1xBet
