Competition: MLS

Market: Minnesota win

Odds: 4/5 @ 888sport

Hoping to widen their buffer in the Final Series spots in the early hours of Thursday, Minnesota will welcome Sporting Kansas to Allianz Field.

Starting with the hosts, last seen over the weekend putting in another eye-catching display on the road, Minnesota find themselves enjoying quite the purple patch. Eventually storming their way to a stellar 3-1 romp away at Vancouver, the Loons have really skyrocketed their way up the Western Conference table. Now sat in pole position to claim another Final Series spot, Head Coach Adrian Heath has been filled with praise for his side’s recent charge. Shocking many as they claimed an action-packed 3-2 victory against a high-flying Real Salt Lake earlier in the month, Minnesota have now won each of their last three matchups on the spin. Likewise, bagging a trio of strikes in each of those three straight victories, there is no doubt that Heath’s men will be looking to lay down a similar marker here.

As for the visitors, managing to make a much-needed return to winning ways last weekend, Sporting Kansas will be desperate to build off of that display. Claiming a gritty 2-1 victory against Montreal on the road, the Wizards have still gained a reputation for their inconsistencies this season. Battling it out at the foot of the Western Conference table, Peter Vermes’ men will know that they face a stern test here. Already sat six points adrift of breaking into the Final Series places, it should also be highlighted that Sporting have lost four of their last six MLS outings. Likewise, with Minnesota picking up a 2-1 victory when the two sides faced off at Allianz Field last season, they have also won just one of their last four meetings against Thursday’s opponents. In a contest that could be an enjoyable affair, we’re backing a home victory here.

Bet: Minnesota 4/5 to beat Sporting Kansas City in Thursday’s MLS battle @ 888sport
