Hoping to try and move within touching distance of the European places this weekend, Monaco will welcome Troyes to the Stade Louis II on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Monaco might have shown some extended issues this season, it appears that the Monégasques have found a much-needed boost. Heading into March’s international break with a stunning 3-0 romp against French heavyweights PSG on home soil, Head Coach Philippe Clement saw his side keep up that momentum last weekend. Marking their return to action with a 2-1 victory away at Metz, the former Club Brugge boss will be desperate for his side to keep up that momentum here. With their sights set on securing a European spot once again this season, fans around the Stade Louis II will be calling on attacking talisman Wissam Ben Yedder to spearhead their charge. Once again finding the net against Metz, the French international has four strikes in as many appearances for club and country.

As for the visitors, while Troyes might have opened 2022 in the midst of a real relegation scrap, the Blues are enjoying what has become a hugely impressive purple patch. Marking their return from March’s international break with an eye-catching 1-0 win at home against Reims, Head Coach Bruno Irles has seen his side skyrocket their way up the Ligue 1 table. In fact, on a run highlighted by a 1-0 victory against Nantes last month, fans around the Stade de l’Aube find their side enjoying a five-match unbeaten run. Gaining a recent reputation for their continued displays at the back, some in Troyes’ camp could be smelling the chance to pull of a real upset here. It should be noted, with Sunday’s guests seeing each of their last five contests finish with under 3.5 goals, we’re backing a similar outcome here.

Bet: Under 3.5 goals at Monaco vs Troyes 2/5 for Sunday’s Ligue 1 showdown @ 888sport
