Looking to extend on what has become a real Serie A purple patch, Monza will welcome Lecce to the Stadio Brianteo on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Monza might have only made their Serie A return this season, the Biancorossi have continued to gain a string of plaudits on either side of the World Cup’s winter break. Last seen putting in another eye-catching display as they clinched a 2-1 victory away at Sassuolo, Raffaele Palladino’s men are sat firmly in pole position to claim what would be a stellar top-half finish in 2023. Riding what has been a stellar wave of momentum since returning from March’s fortnight interval, the Reds will certainly be smelling the chance to make another Serie A statement on Sunday afternoon. With their purple patch highlighted by a remarkable 2-0 win against newly-crowned Italian champions Napoli on May 15th, Sunday’s guests are unbeaten in each of their last eight straight domestic appearances. Likewise, collecting victories against the likes of Inter Milan and Fiorentina on that eight-match unbeaten flurry, Monza will also be glad to make a return to the Stadio Brianteo this weekend.

As for the visitors, although Lecce might have managed to snatch a 0-0 stalemate at home against Spezia last weekend, the Salentians remain at the heart of a relegation scrap. Desperate to avoid being hit with an immediate Serie B return this season, Marco Baroni’s men have only shown a string of issues since opening 2023. Opening Sunday’s showdown at the Stadio Brianteo holding just a three-point buffer from slipping into the relegation zone, the former Reggina boss has also seen his side fail to win any of their last four straight top-flight appearances. Likewise, on what has quickly become a woeful run of form, the Apulia-based outfit have managed to muster just a single domestic victory from any of their previous 13 outings – a run that stems all the way back to February 19th. Given the recent gulf in class between Sunday’s opponents, a home draw no bet can be found at appealing odds this weekend.

Bet: Monza draw no bet against Lecce 17/20 for Sunday’s Serie A matchup @ Pribet
