Competition: Serie A

Market: Monza draw no bet

Odds: 3/5 @ BetUS

Hoping to make it back-to-back Serie A victories on Sunday afternoon, Monza will welcome Venezia to the Stadio Brianteo.

Starting with the hosts, putting a maiden Serie A victory on the board last weekend as they marked their return from October’s international break with a stellar 3-0 romp away at Verona, Monza will be desperate to use that performance as a platform to build on. While the Biancorossi might have only collected a first top-flight win of the season last week, Alessandro Nesta’s men have gained a reputation for their rugged approach. Heading into October’s fortnight break with an eye-catching 1-1 stalemate against Roma, the former AC Milan icon should be smelling another real opportunity here. Snatching a point off of defending Serie A champions Inter Milan on September 15th, Monza are desperate to drag themselves away from the drop zone. Extending on their Coppa Italia adventure last month as they landed a 3-1 romp victory against Brescia, it should also be noted that the Reds have suffered just a single defeat at the Stadio Brianteo over the past couple of months.

As for the visitors, while Venezia might have secured a famous Serie A return for this season, the Winged Lions appear to have a major uphill battle on their hands in the race to keep hold of their top-flight status. Marking their return from October’s international break with a routine 2-0 loss at home against Atalanta last weekend, Eusebio Di Francesco’s men are pencilled in as a leading relegation contender this year. Opening up this weekend’s fixtures sat rock-bottom of the table and putting just four points on the board from any of their first eight Serie A appearances, Venezia have lost each of their last three consecutive appearances by an aggregate score of 6-3. Heading into October’s fortnight interval with a 2-1 loss at the hands of Verona, it should also be noted that Sunday’s guests have lost five of their previous six showdowns against top-flight opposition. Likewise, collecting just a single point from any of their first five matchups on the road, we are backing a home draw no bet here.

Bet: Monza draw no bet against Venezia 3/5 for Sunday’s Serie A showdown @ BetUS
