Competition: Coupe de France

Market: Lyon to qualify

Odds: 4/7 @ 888sport

Two sides who will be looking to book their spot in the final of this season’s Coupe de France, Nantes will welcome Lyon to the Stade de la Beaujoire on Wednesday night.

Starting with the hosts, marking their return from the international break with a nightmare display over the weekend, Nantes found themselves in the midst of an extended rut. Eventually blown away on home soil as they were hit with a 3-0 drumming at the hands of Reims, Les Canaris have now failed to win any of their last four Ligue 1 appearances. With that run highlighted by an action-packed 4-2 defeat at the hands of PSG on March 4th, Antonie Kombouare’s side have come under real scrutiny this season. Although Nantes might have stunned everyone across France last season as they were crowned Coupe de France champions, the Yellows should face a real challenge here. It should also be noted, on a run that stems all the way back to February 12th, Wednesday’s hosts have won just one of their last nine straight contests across all formats.

As for the visitors, laying down what was a stunning marker on their return from the international break over the weekend, Lyon certainly picked up some dream momentum in the capital. Claiming a famous 1-0 victory away at defending French champions PSG, Les Gones will be looking to make another statement when they travel to the Stade de la Beaujoire on Wednesday night. Although Laurent Blanc’s men might be facing a huge uphill battle if they are to claim a European finish in 2023, the Whites are unbeaten in each of their last six domestic appearances across all formats. Likewise, on what has been a hugely impressive flurry, it should be noted that Lyon have suffered just a single defeat from any of their last 13 contests – a run that stems all the way back to January 14th. Unbeaten in their previous seven straight meetings against Nantes, we are backing Blanc’s men to punch their Coupe de France final ticket here.

Bet: Lyon 4/7 to qualify against Nantes in Wednesday’s Coupe de France semi-final @ 888sport
