Bitesize Prediction: Norwich vs Huddersfield – 16/08/22

Competition: Championship

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 11/10 @ 888sport

Desperate to try and find some stability on Tuesday night, Norwich will welcome Huddersfield to Carrow Road for what could be a lively affair.

Starting with the hosts, while Norwich might have opened this season’s Championship campaign tipped as a leading contender to make an immediate Premier League return, the Canaries are in the midst of a real struggle. Although Dean Smith’s men might have extended on their EFL Cup run thanks to an action-packed 3-2 victory against Birmingham on August 9th, the former Aston Villa boss has seen his side pick up just a single second-tier point so far. Last seen over the weekend putting in another worrying display as they were hit with a 2-1 loss away at Hull, Norwich really have the feel of a side seeking some kind of boost. However, it should be highlighted, when Smith’s side last faced off against Huddersfield in April 2021, the Yellows cruised their way to a stunning 7-0 romp.

As for the visitors, after also opening the 2022/23 campaign in the midst of a dreadful run of form, last season’s play-off finalists did manage to find a much-needed boost last weekend. Despite watching their EFL Cup run come to an abrupt end following a shock 4-1 drumming at home against Preston on August 9th, new boss Danny Schofield saw his side pick up a 3-1 victory at home against Stoke a few days ago. However, although the Terriers might have drawn a line under their nightmare run last time out, they have continued to show some extended issues at the back. Along with winning just one of their final four pre-season matchups, Tuesday’s guests could face a tough test in midweek. It should be highlighted, with Huddersfield seeing five of their last six contests across all formats finish with both teams finding the net, we’re backing a similar outcome here.

Bet: Both teams to score at Norwich vs Huddersfield 11/10 for Tuesday’s Championship matchup @ 888sport
