Competition: MLS

Market: Orlando City win

Odds: 8/11 @ 1xBet

Looking to make it three MLS victories on the bounce in the early hours of Thursday, Orlando will welcome Charlotte at Florida.

Starting with the hosts, marking their return from September’s international break with another dominant display as they stormed their way to a 3-0 romp at home against New England, Orlando have continued on a real MLS purple patch. Skyrocketing their way up the Eastern Conference standings and appearing to breeze their way to another play-off ticket, Oscar Pareja’s camp should find the mood in their camp at a red-hot high. Heading into September’s fortnight interval with another 3-0 victory against Nashville, the Lions will be smelling the chance to make another domestic statement here. Losing just one of their previous eight MLS appearances – a run that stems all the way back to June 29th – Orlando should also be excited by their continued success in Florida. In fact, along with winning four of their previous five showdowns in front of their own supporters, Pareja’s side have not suffered a single domestic defeat in front of their own supporters since the middle of June.

As for the visitors, only continuing to show some real issues over the past few months, Charlotte should be bracing themselves for another real examination in the early hours of Thursday. Marking their return from September’s international break with a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Montreal, Dean Smith’s men are desperately seeking some kind of boost. Heading into the fortnight interval with a 1-0 loss at home against Atalanta, the North Carolina-based outfit have failed to win any of their previous seven appearances across all competitions within 90 minutes. Tumbling down the Eastern Conference standings, the Crown have also failed to muster back-to-back victories across any format since the middle of June. Pencilled in as a real underdog contender here, the former Aston Villa boss should also have a headache over his side’s defensive struggles. Given what has been a huge recent gulf in class, we are expecting a home victory in midweek.

Bet: Orlando City 8/11 to beat Charlotte in Thursday’s MLS matchup @ 1xBet
