Market: Over 1.5 goals

Opening up this weekend’s La Liga fixtures on Friday night, Osasuna will welcome Valencia to the El Sadar for what could be an enjoyable affair.

Starting with the hosts, marking their return from September’s international break last weekend with another rugged display, Osasuna have once again impressed many across Spain this season. Still sat sixth in the La Liga table and with a shock European charge at the top of their agenda this time around, Jagoba Arrasate’s men will be desperate to lay down another marker on Friday night. Heading into the fortnight break on September 22nd as they picked up a deserved 2-0 win away at Real Valladolid, Los Rojillos have lost just one of their previous five top-flight contests. Likewise, opening the new season back in August as they shocked Sevilla thanks to a 2-1 victory on home soil, it should also be noted that Osasuna landed a 2-1 win when they last faced off against Friday’s guests six months ago.

As for the visitors, snatching an action-packed point on their travels last weekend after returning from September’s international break, Valencia will be desperate to build off of those positives. Eventually playing out a 2-2 draw away at Espanyol, the Bats now have the feel of a side seeking some stability. Mustering just a pair of wins from their previous six La Liga battles, Gennaro Gattuso’s side have shown some extended issues at the back. However, still battling it out in the top-half and with some around the Mestalla dreaming of their own European return, the Whites have gained somewhat of a reputation for their lively outcomes. It should also be noted, with Friday’s opponents seeing all of their previous 13 meetings finish with over 1.5 goals, we’re backing a similar outcome here.

Bet: Over 1.5 goals at Osasuna vs Valencia 3/8 for Friday’s La Liga showdown @ 888sport
