Competition: EFL Trophy

Market: Peterborough draw no bet

Odds: 2/3 @ Pribet

Meeting for the second time in the space of a few days, Peterborough will welcome Stevenage to London Road for the EFL Trophy showdown on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, managing to make a welcomed return to winning ways over the weekend as they secured a 2-1 victory against Stevenage, Peterborough will be demanding a repeat performance here. Drawing a line under their three-match winless run, Darren Ferguson’s men still have their sights firmly set on wrapping up another League One play-off ticket this season. Getting their EFL Trophy adventure underway on September 3rd with an impressive 2-1 win away at Gillingham, the former Doncaster boss will also be excited by his side’s recent success on home soil. Including an action-packed 3-2 victory against Bristol Rovers last month, the Posh have clinched back-to-back wins at London Road. Smelling another opportunity on Tuesday night, it should also be highlighted that Peterborough have collected seven points from their previous three League One showdowns in front of their own supporters.

As for the visitors, while Stevenage might have opened October with a flurry, the Boro came crashing back down to earth last weekend. Eventually falling to that 2-1 defeat at London Road, Alex Revell’s men should be bracing themselves for another tricky challenge on Tuesday night. Although the Hertfordshire-based outfit might be dreaming of the chance to mount their own play-off charge this season, the midweek guests have continued to show some glaring issues away from the Amex Stadium. Including a 2-0 loss away at Exeter last month, Stevenage have failed to win any of their first six away fixtures across all competitions. It should also be highlighted, Revell’s side have registered just a single goal outside of Hertfordshire in over 60 minutes of action. Hit with that 2-1 loss in Cambridgeshire over the weekend, we are backing a home draw no bet on Tuesday night.

Bet: Peterborough draw no bet against Stevenage 2/3 for Tuesday’s EFL Trophy matchup @ Pribet
