Competition: League One

Market: Leyton Orient double chance

Odds: 1/2 @ 1xBet

Looking to extend on their League One romp in midweek, Leyton Orient will travel to Stoke-on-Trent when they meet Port Vale on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Port Vale might have signed off 2023 with a stellar 3-0 romp against Blackpool, it appears that might have just been a minor boost for Andy Crosby’s downbeat squad. Last seen over the weekend putting in a nightmare display as they slumped to a 3-0 drumming at the hands of Fleetwood, the Stoke-based outfit find themselves at the heart of a League One relegation scrap. Opening Tuesday’s showdown holding just a two-point buffer from slipping into the drop zone, the former Northern Ireland coach appears to have a major job on his hands. Getting the New Year underway with a 2-1 loss away at Carlisle, Port Vale have recorded just a single win from any of their previous eight appearances across all competitions – a run that stems all the way back to December 16th. It should also be highlighted, suffering a 1-0 defeat against Portsmouth in their last showdown at Vale Park, Crosby’s side have won just a pair of their previous 11 straight appearances in front of their own supporters.

As for the visitors, while Leyton Orient might have only made their League One return this season, Richie Wellens’ men have continued on a shock third-tier flurry. Last seen over the weekend putting in an action-packed display as they secured a 3-2 win against Carlisle, the Londoners are riding a stellar wave of momentum and they should certainly be smelling the chance to make another statement here. Skyrocketing their way up the table and breaking into to the top-half, Orient are remarkably unbeaten in all of their previous seven straight League One appearances. Likewise, mustering 17 points on that stellar seven-match flurry, Tuesday’s guests have also suffered just a single defeat since back on December 9th. With their extended purple patch underlined by a 3-0 romp against promotion contenders Portsmouth last month, Wellens’ side should be relishing a trip to Stoke in midweek. Two sides who find themselves battling it out at opposite ends of the League One table, we are backing an away double chance here.

Bet: Leyton Orient double chance against Port Vale 1/2 for Tuesday’s League One matchup @ 1xBet
