Bitesize Prediction: Porto vs Lyon – 09/03/22

Competition: Europa League

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 4/6 @ 888sport

Two sides who will be looking to pick up a Europa League first-leg advantage on Wednesday night, Porto will host French outfit Lyon at the Estádio do Dragão.

Starting with the hosts, managing to pick up some perfect momentum over the weekend and storming their way to an action-packed 4-2 win away at Ferreira, the mood in Porto’s camp should be at a real high. Appearing to cruise their way towards another Primeira Liga crown this season, the Dragons are in the midst of a remarkable unbeaten run. Extending on their Europa League adventure thanks to a thrilling 4-3 aggregate win against Italian giants Lazio last month, Head Coach Sérgio Conceição finds his side enjoying an 18-match unbeaten run across all formats. Getting a reputation for their free-scoring displays, it is well worth keeping an eye out for Brazilian starlet Evanilson here. Bagging an eye-catching against Ferreira last time out, the 22-year-old has now bagged five strikes in as many appearances.

As for the visitors, while Lyon might have been showing some recent signs of an issue, there is no doubt that the French outfit came roaring back over the weekend. Also picking up some perfect momentum as they secured a thumping 4-1 win away at Lorient, Les Gones have made it clear that they’re desperate to find some stability. Almost sat in Ligue 1 limbo this season, Head Coach Peter Bosz has at least seen his side gain a reputation for their rugged approach on the road. On a run that has seen them snatch points off of defending French champions Lille, it should be noted that Lyon have lost just a single contest away from the Groupama Stadium since November 7th. In what could be an enjoyable affair on Wednesday night, we’re backing both teams to find the net here.

Bet: Both teams to score at Porto vs Lyon 4/6 for Wednesday’s Europa League first-leg @ 888sport
