Bitesize Prediction: Qarabag vs Freiburg – 03/11/22

Competition: Europa League

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 5/7 @ 888sport

Knowing that they can book their spot in the knockout stage of this year’s Europa League on Thursday night, Qarabag will welcome Freiburg to the Azersun Arena.

Starting with the hosts, while Qarabag might have been left heartbroken in France last week as they were hit with a last-gasp 2-1 loss against Nantes, the Horsemen still find themselves sat in pole position. Holding a one-point buffer heading into their final Group G showdown, Gurban Gurbanov’s side did pick up some perfect momentum last weekend. Eventually cruising their way to a 4-0 romp away at Shamakhi while on domestic duties, the Azerbaijan giants have lost just a single matchup across all formats since back on September 8th. Likewise, looking to finish off their qualifying job on Thursday night, Qarabag should be excited by their continued success on home soil. In fact, along with bagging six strikes in their back-to-back victories at the Azersun Arena, Gurbanov’s men are unbeaten in front of their own supporters since the end of February.

As for the visitors, already cruising their way to the knockout stage of this year’s Europa League without breaking much of a sweat, Freiburg have continued to gain a string of plaudits. Remarkably sat third in the Bundesliga table and with their sights set on mounting a genuine Champions League charge, Christian Streich’s side should find the mood in their camp at a real high. Last seen over the weekend picking up a routine 2-0 win away at Schalke, the German outfit have lost just a single showdown since a 3-1 loss against Borussia Dortmund on August 12th. Likewise, looking to lay down another European marker here and sign off their Group G campaign with a flurry, Freiburg will also be boosted by their most recent meeting against Qarabag. It should be noted, when the two sides faced off prior to September’s international break, Streich’s men landed a 2-1 win on home soil.

Bet: Both teams to score at Qarabag vs Freiburg 5/7 for Thursday’s Europa League battle @ 888sport
