Competition: La Liga

Market: Real Sociedad win

Odds: 8/11 @ 888sport

Desperate to make a much-needed return to winning ways in midweek, Real Sociedad will welcome Cadiz to the Anoeta Stadium on Thursday evening.

Starting with the hosts, last seen over the weekend when putting in another worrying display, Real Sociedad are desperate to draw a line under their extended blip. Eventually getting hit with a 2-1 loss away at Levante, Head Coach Imanol Alguacil has seen his side fail to win any of their last four domestic contests. However, still sat in pole position to book a European finish this season, the Basque Country-based outfit have still largely impressed on home soil throughout the 2021/22 campaign. Aside from a 1-0 defeat against former Spanish champions Barcelona last month, it should be noted that is the only domestic loss that Real Sociedad have suffered at the Anoeta Stadium since February 3rd. Despite their recent issues over the past month, Alguacil’s men should be smelling the chance to find a boost here.

As for the visitors, managing to pick up a much-needed 3-0 win against Elche a few days ago, Cadiz must find a way to build off of that result here. Nevertheless, still firmly looking over their shoulder and at the hear of a relegation scrap, Head Coach Sergio González should still find the mood in his camp at a recent high. However, facing what could be a tough test at the Anoeta Stadium on Thursday evening, Cadiz should also be worried by their glaring struggles against the European contenders. Including a thumping 4-1 defeat when they made the trip to Basque Country last year, it should be noted that they have never won any of their eight contests against Sociedad.

Bet: Real Sociedad 8/11 to beat Cadiz in Thursday’s La Liga battle @ 888sport
