Looking to spring a Segunda upset on their travels this weekend, Tenerife will travel to La Romareda on Friday night when they meet a struggling Real Zaragoza.

Starting with the hosts, while Real Zaragoza might have claimed a much-welcomed 2-0 win at home against Cartagena earlier in the month, Los Manos came crashing back down to earth last weekend. Putting in a nightmare display as they slumped to a 1-0 loss at the hands of an already-relegated Ibiza, Fran Escriba’s side have now claimed just a single victory from any of their previous five Segunda appearances. However, despite struggling with their consistency over recent times, the Aragon-based outfit will be glad to make a return to home soil on Friday night. Last seen at La Romareda picking up that 2-0 victory against Cartagena on May 13th, it is worth highlighting that Zaragoza are unbeaten in each of their previous seven straight contests in front of their own supporters – a run that stems all the way back to February 11th. If Escriba’s men are to claim a top-half Segunda finish this season, Los Manos know that they face a must-win battle here.

As for the visitors, while Tenerife might have been disappointed after missing out on the chance to claim another play-off spot this season, Los Chicharreros are enjoying what has been an eye-catching end to the 2022/23 campaign. Last seen making an immediate return to winning ways at home against Burgos, Luis Miguel Ramis’ side have skyrocketed their way into the top-half of the Segunda standings. Winning three of their last four second-tier appearances, the former Almeria boss has also seen his side lose just one of their last eight straight outings – a run that stems all the way back However, despite their recent success, Tenerife have shown some continued struggles on the road. In fact, on what has been a remarkable run away from the Canary Islands, Ramis’ men have bagged just a single away strike since the end of January. In a contest that famously produces low-scoring outcomes, we are backing chances to come at a premium on Friday night.

Bet: Under 2.5 goals at Real Zaragoza vs Tenerife 7/10 for Friday’s Segunda showdown @ 1xBet
