Looking to extend on their Premiership purple patch on Friday night, Aberdeen will make the trip to Victoria Park when they meet Ross County.
Starting with the hosts, managing to make what was a much-needed return to winning ways last weekend, Ross County will now be hoping to find some Premiership stability over the final few weeks. Eventually picking up a deserved 2-0 victory away at St. Johnstone, Malky Mackay’s side also drew a line under their three-match losing run. Marking their return from the international break with a 2-0 loss at home against Celtic, the Stages have failed to collect back-to-back domestic victories since opening 2023. Likewise, losing consecutive top-flight appearances at Victoria Park, the one-time Watford boss finds his side holding just a two-point buffer from slipping to the foot of the Premiership table. Knowing that they should face a tough challenge when a high-flying Aberdeen come to town on Friday night, it should be highlighted that Ross County have seen three of their last four home fixtures finish with under 2.5 goals.
As for the visitors, last seen over the weekend putting in another eye-catching display as they claimed a 2-0 win at home against Kilmarnock, Aberdeen are enjoying what has been a stellar purple patch. Only continuing to skyrocket their way up the Premiership table, Barry Robson’s side have now won each of their last five straight top-flight appearances. Marking their return from the international break with a 1-0 victory away at St. Johnstone, the Dons have also impressed with their new-found defensive resolve. It should be noted, Friday’s guests have shipped just a single top-flight strike on their five-match winning run. Now sat in pole position to claim a top-three finish this season, Robson’s side will be desperate to make another statement here. However, playing out a 0-0 stalemate when they welcomed Ross County to Pittodrie for their reverse meeting on January 2nd, we could be treated to another low-scoring affair here.
Bet: Under 2.5 goals at Ross County vs Aberdeen 5/6 for Friday’s Scottish Championship battle @ 888sport
