Competition: National League North

Market: Draw

Odds: 29/10 @ 1xBet

Two sides who are scrapping it out at the top of the National League North table, Scunthorpe will welcome King’s Lynn to Glanford Park on New Year’s Eve afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, suffering real heartbreak last season as they narrowly failed to book a National League return, Scunthorpe are desperate to go one-step further in 2025. Last seen putting in a gritty performance as they snatched a 1-0 victory away at Peterborough Sports, Andy Butler’s side will be desperate to use that late winner as a platform to build on. However, opening December with a 0-0 stalemate at home against Hereford, the Irons are seeking some much-needed stability. In fact, the Lincolnshire-based outfit have recorded just a trio of wins from any of their previous nine National League North appearances. With that run stemming all the way back to a stellar 6-0 romp agains Farsley on October 29th, Scunthorpe have failed to record consecutive victories across any competition since the start of September. However, despite their recent inconstancies, Tuesday’s hosts have continued to impress with their rugged performances at the back. It should be noted, Butler’s camp have recorded five clean sheets in their previous six outings.

As for the visitors, while King’s Lynn might only just about dragged themselves over the finishing line last season as they kept hold of their National League North Status, the Linnets have made a string of improvements this time around. Now unbeaten in all of their previous seven sixth-tier showdowns, Adam Lakeland’s side sit within touching distance of climbing to the top of the table. However, missing out on what was a golden opportunity last time out as they had to settle for a 2-2 draw against relegation scrappers Needham Market, the Norflok-based outfit are also seeking some recent stability. Only collecting a single point in three of their previous four national League North appearances, King’s Lynn have won just a quartet of their last 12 matchups across all competitions – a run that stems back to October 29th. With Tuesday’s opponents playing out a 0-0 stalemate when they last met back in March, we are expecting a similar outcome in midweek.

Bet: Match to finish in a draw between Scunthorpe vs King’s Lynn 29/10 for Tuesday’s National League North matchup @ 1xBet
