Bitesize Prediction: Sheffield United vs Hull City 15/02/22

Competition: Championship

Market: Sheffield United win & under 4.5 goals

Odds: 8/11 @ 888sport

Looking to make an immediate return to winning ways on Tuesday night, Sheffield United will welcome a struggling Hull to Bramall Lane in midweek.

Starting with the hosts, while Sheffield United might have been disappointed to have only collected a single point away at Huddersfield over the weekend, the Blades have continued on an eye-catching run of form. Really finding their feet since bringing back Head Coach Paul Heckingbottom, they are enjoying a six-match Championship unbeaten run. Breathing life back into their campaign at Bramall Lane, the Yorkshire-based outfit now have a play-off finish at the top of their agenda. Opening the midweek fixtures sat just three points adrift of finding a shock route into the top-six, Sheffield United should also be boosted by their recent success on home soil. Including a deserved win against fellow play-off contenders West Brom, it should be noted that Heckingbottom’s side have won each of their last three matchups at Bramall Lane by a 2-0 scoreline.

As for the visitors, making the shock decision to sack now-former boss Grant McCann last month, Hull find themselves in the midst of another struggle. Last seen over the weekend eventually getting hit with a 1-0 defeat at home against runaway leaders Fulham, the Tigers are almost stuck in Championship limbo. Hit with a woeful 3-1 drumming at the hands of leading relegation scrappers Derby on February 8th, new manager Shota Arveladze finds his side in the midst of a three-match losing run. Knowing that they face a stern test at Bramall Lane here, it should be noted that Hull also hold a worrying record against Tuesday’s hosts. Hit with a 3-1 drumming when the two sides faced off at the KCOM back in September, the Tigers have lost their last three straight meetings against the play-off contenders.

Bet: Sheffield United 8/11 to beat Hull and under 4.5 goals in Tuesday’s Championship matchup @ 888sport
