Bitesize Prediction: Sheffield United vs QPR – 05/04/22

Competition: Championship

Market: Sheffield United win

Odds: 4/5 @ 888sport

Two sides who are still battling it out in the play-off chase, Sheffield United will welcome a struggling QPR to Bramall Lane on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, after marking their return from March’s international break with a sluggish 1-0 loss away at Stoke, Sheffield United will be desperate for an immediate response here. Heading into their fortnight break with a routine 2-0 win against Barnsley at Bramall Lane, the Blades have continued to impress since bringing back Paul Heckingbottom. Skyrocketing their way up the Championship table, they have also gained a reputation for their continued success on home soil. Including a run highlighted by a thumping 4-1 romp against Middlesbrough, Tuesday’s hosts are unbeaten in their last 10 straight matchups at Bramall Lane, a run that stems all the way back to October 30th. Likewise, it should also be noted that United have won each of their last three straight meetings against QPR, including a 1-0 victory earlier in the season.

As for the visitors, while QPR might have opened 2021 in the midst of a real purple patch, it is fair to say that the Hoops have really come crashing back down to earth. Marking their return to action a few days ago with a 2-0 defeat at home against runaway leaders Fulham, Mark Warburton’s side have come tumbling down the Championship table. Enduring what has become a real second-tier struggle, the former Rangers boss has seen his side lose five of their last six outings. With their nightmare rut highlighted by a shock 3-1 defeat against leading relegation scrappers Peterborough last month, QPR will know that they face a huge task on Tuesday night. Hit with a 1-0 loss earlier in the season and losing each of their last three meetings against Sheffield United, we’re backing a similar outcome here.

Bet: Sheffield United 4/5 to beat QPR in Tuesday’s Championship battle @ 888sport
