Competition: League One

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 5/6 @ Pribet

Looking to make another League One statement on Tuesday night, Bolton will make the trip to New Meadow when they meet Shrewsbury.

Starting with the hosts, extending on their FA Cup adventure over the weekend as they secured a 3-2 victory against Colchester, Shrewsbury will be looking to use that performance as a platform to build on. Although Matt Taylor’s side might have signed off October in the midst of a minor wobble, the Shropshire-based outfit will be excited by their continued success at New Meadow. Including a stellar 1-0 victory against Derby last month, the Shrews have won each of their previous three showdowns in front of their own supporters across all formats. It should also be highlighted, Tuesday’s hosts have collected seven points from their previous three League One contests in front of their own supporters. Although Shrewsbury might be seeking some recent stability at the back, they should be excited by a stern test here. However, it is worth noting, Taylor’s men have seen four of their last five showdowns finish with over 1.5 goals.

As for the visitors, while Bolton might have suffered play-off heartbreak last season, the Trotters haven’t shown any signs of a hangover. Opening up Tuesday’s showdown sat just three points adrift of breaking into the automatic promotion spots, Ian Evatt’s side are enjoying a real League One purple patch. Last seen over the weekend extending on their FA Cup adventure as they cruised to a 4-0 romp against Solihull Moors, the former Barrow boss has seen his squad win each of their previous four appearances across all competitions. Signing off October with a rugged performance as they secured a 2-0 victory away at Charlton, Bolton have also impressed many with their free-scoring performances in the final third. Winning each of their last four outings by an aggregate score of 12-3, we could be treated to an enjoyable affair here. It should be highlighted, with Evatt’s men seeing 16 of their last 17 showdowns across all competitions finish with over 1.5 goals, we are expecting a similar outcome in midweek.

Bet: Both teams to score Shrewsbury vs Bolton 5/6 for Tuesday’s League One battle @ Pribet
