Competition: Spanish Segunda

Market: Granada draw no bet

Odds: 4/6 @ 888sport

Hoping to extend their stay in the automatic promotion places on Sunday evening, Granada will make the trip to relegation scrappers Sporting Gijon this weekend.

Starting with the hosts, although Sporting Gijon might have been last seen snatching a 1-1 draw away at play-off contenders Las Palmas, Miguel Ramirez’s men find themselves at the heart of another Segunda relegation scrap. While the Rojiblancos might have clung to their second-tier status last season, the Asturias-based outfit have claimed just a single victory from any of their last nine second-tier appearances – a run that stems all the way back to January 22nd. Firmly looking over their shoulder at the drop zone, the one-time Internacional boss will have a growing headache over his side’s extended defensive issues. Including a 4-3 drumming at home against Mirandes last month, Gijon should be bracing themselves for another stern examination here. It should also be highlighted, Sunday’s guests have claimed just one victory in front of their own supporters from any of their last four attempts.

As for the visitors, last seen snatching a late 1-0 victory at home against Real Oviedo, Granada have their sights firmly set on securing an immediate La Liga return this season. Opening this weekend’s fixtures sat in the automatic promotion places, Paco Lopez’s side have only continued to shine since getting 2023 underway. In fact, the Nasrids are unbeaten in each of their last 10 straight Segunda appearances – a run that stems all the way back to January 14th. Looking to make another statement on Sunday evening, Granada should also be boosted by their most recent meeting against Gijon. Putting in a stellar display as they breezed their way to a 5-0 romp at the Nuevo Los Carmenes on October 13th, the Andalusia-based outfit will be smelling the chance to extend on their purple patch here. Collecting 10 points from their last four Segunda showdowns on the road, we are backing an away draw no bet this weekend.

Bet: Granada draw no bet against Sporting Gijon 4/6 for Sunday’s Segunda matchup @ 888sport
