Bitesize Prediction: Swansea vs Blackburn Rovers – 05/02/22

Competition: Championship

Market: Blackburn Rovers draw no bet

Odds: 1/1 @ 888sport

Two sides who really find themselves battling it out at opposite ends of the Championship table, Blackburn will make the trip to the Liberty on Saturday evening.

Starting with the hosts, last seen earlier in the week putting in another worrying display, Swansea find themselves enduring a public struggle at the Liberty this season. Watching former boss Steve Cooper make the move to fellow Championship outfit Nottingham Forest over the summer, last year’s play-off finalists are coming off the back of a 1-0 loss against Luton in south Wales. Spending the whole of the 2021/22 campaign battling it out at the foot of the table under Russell Martin, Swansea have won just one of their last nine matchups across all formats, a run that stems back to November 24th. Knowing that they should face another stern test this weekend, it should also be highlighted that Saturday’s hosts have shown some extended problems at the Liberty after losing four of their last five home fixtures.

As for the visitors, while Swansea might find themselves battling it out at the foot of the Championship table, Blackburn have their sights firmly set on clinching a Premier League return this season. Continuing to gain a host of plaudits under Tony Mowbray, the Rovers will be smelling the chance to lay down a real marker in south Wales here. Despite being left disappointed to have only collected a single point against Luton last time out, the one-time West Brom boss has seen his side lose just one of their last 13 Championship matchups. Opening this weekend’s fixtures currently sat in the top-two, Saturday’s guests find the mood in their camp at a real high. Looking to widen their buffer at the Liberty here, an away draw no bet appears at attractive odds.
